Djoomart Otorbaev

Djoomart Otorbaev is a former Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic. Between 2011 and 2014 he worked as a Deputy Prime Minister, and a First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic. Mr. Otorbaev received his Ph. D. from Lebedev Physical Institute (Moscow). In 2001 he was appointed as a Special representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic on Foreign Investments. Between 2002 and 2005 he worked as a Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic. After that he worked as a Senior Adviser in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), based in London (2006-2011). He is currently a distinguished professor at Emerging Markets Institute, Beijing Normal University.
