Speaker: Mr. Suman Bery, currently a Nonresident Fellow at the Brussels think-tank Bruegel, as well as a Senior Fellow of the MasterCard Center for Inclusive Growth. He was Shell’s Chief Economist, and he had earlier served as Director-General (Chief Executive) of the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), New Delhi. Suman was a part-time member of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council, an independent director on the main board of the State Bank of India, a member of the World Bank’s Young Professionals Program. His research fields are the political economy of reform; financial sector and banking reform; and energy trends and policy.
